Despite being up to here *gestures at point several inches above above head* in work related crapola and looking forward to a weekend spent staring at a computer monitor and going quietly mad I couldn't resist the temptation to bring to the attention of the world (or at least the portion of it sufficiently bored to read this journal) the results of some recent Warwick Uni based research. I have a friend who has on numerous occasions argued that free market economics in good ol' US of A have created a far more meritocratic society with far greater economic and social mobility than its fluffy lefty European brethren. If said gentleman finds himself reading this I'd like to say in the politest possible tones and with obviously the deepest respect for our years of friendship: In you face capitalist pigdog!!! Socialist welfare states for teh win!!!!
Gah! Novell WebAccess is officialy the webmail equivalent of a cowboy builder in a white van - it spends large quantities of time not working, when it does work it'll do stuff you don't want it too and manifestly fail to do other things you've asked it v nicely to do and then for resons best known to itself it'll vanish off the face of the for days at a time. Can anyone with the technical know-how explain why exactly it's so frighteningly bad? It won't help me access my emails but still would be nice to know.
